*Platoons 3 And 1 Emerge Winners As Sports Competition Comes To A Close*

The Inter platoon sports competition has seen platoon 3 and Platoon 1 emerge winners of the football and volleyball competition respectively.

 The finals of the interplatoon competition sponsored by BetNaija and Fanmilk held on Thursday at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp Ede.

The State Coordinator, Mr Ayodele Adegoke commended all the teams involved for maintaining good sportsmanship all through the contest which according to him is a sign of respect for the core value of the game which entails oneness, friendship, trust and team spirit. 
He told all present to take home with them the spirit of perseverance they have learnt during their time on the pitch to scale through hurdles they may encounter during the service year.

The football competition was proudly sponsored by Betnaija a betting company while Fanmilk sponsored the volleyball competition.

At the end of the tournament, the football competition saw platoon 9 and Platoon 6 emerged second and third positions respectively. The volleyball competition on the other hand saw platoon 2 and 6 emerge second and third positions respectively.

In the track event, for the male category, representatives of Platoon 4, l0 and 8 came first, second and third positions respectively.
While for the female category, representatives of Platoon 9, 7 and 3 came first, second and third positions respectively.

The best football player of the tournament was Harrison lfekoronye from Platoon 3 while Okonkwo Elizabeth from Platoon l was the best volleyball player.

NYSC : Agbor Felicitates with Batch B Stream 2 as 2184 Corps Members Disengage from Service in Osun State

The National Youth Service Corps Osun State Coordinator, Mr Agbor Ndoma Obim has congratulated the 2022 Batch B Stream 2 Corps Members for successfully completing the one year mandatory service to the nation.  He appreciated the Corps Members for being undaunted, humble and unwavering since the beginning of the service year till the joyful moment.  Agbor, who monitored the low key exercise along with the management team, disclosed that a total of 2184 were successfully disengaged and that 19 Corps Members were sanctioned by the Board due to the lackadaisical attitude portrayed during their service year which attracted an extension of service, while 14 members who absconded were billed to repeat the service as prescribed in the Act and Bye-laws of the Scheme.
