Prince Popoola Encourages Corps Members to Take Advantage of NIPR Certification*

The Chairman of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) Osun Branch, Prince Adebisi Popoola has enlightened the 2021 Batch B Stream 2 Corps Members on the opportunities available with the institution.

He made this known at the Multipurpose Hall of the Permanent Orientation Camp Ede on Wednesday.
Speaking on the benefits of the membership of the Institute, Prince Popoola emphasised on the added value of the NIPR certificate to the degree of the Corps Members who take the course. He went on to say that, for those seeking self-employment, the NIPR can help them to be financially independent.

Prince Popoola stated that Corps Members with a degree in Marketing, Public Relations, English language, Journalism, and Mass Communication have the advantage of being able to register directly with the Institute. He clarified that registration is not open solely to them, as Corps Members without a degree in any of the aforementioned fields can also register with the body upon fulfilment of certain criterias.

According to Prince Popoola, Corps Members can either obtain a certificate or a diploma in a related course.

"At the end of their program with the NIPR, Corps Members would have to write an exam to become qualified Public Relations professionals," he added.

Before wrapping up the lecture, Prince Popoola told Corps Members where to find the NIPR office, as well as how to contact the office. Furthermore, he encouraged them to register with the NIPR in order to increase their chances in the job market.
