NYSC OSUN AGOG AS PCM DELIVERS BEAUTIFUL BABY GIRL IN CAMP
The National Youth Service Corps Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede, Osun State was on Saturday agog as the news of a beautiful baby girl delivered to one of the Prospective Corps Members filtered in.
The Scheme welcomed the beautiful baby girl delivered to Prospective Corps Member Ekeowa Chidimma Rita from Enugu State, a Lagos corps member who was deployed to Osun State for the three weeks orientation programme.
Ekeowa, with code number LA/21C/5774 was rushed to the Cottage hospital on Saturday after going into labour where she was delivered of a baby girl to the excitement of the entire clinic staff and management who were prayerfully monitoring PCM Ekeowa Chidimma throughout the period of her labour.
The State Coordinator, Mrs Winifred Shokpeka could not hide her joy describing baby Ekeowa as a bundle of joy sent by God to unleash abundance of joy and happiness in the camp. She, in her usual humorous way, named baby Ekeowa 'Mary' after the camp director, Mrs Mary Adebesin and 'Ngozi' after herself. She further described the safe arrival of the baby as a blessing to the State.
She appreciated the staff of Cottage Hospital Ede for attending to the PCM promptly.
Mr Ekeowa, the father of the baby was so delighted to know and see that his wife was well cared for by members of the Scheme even before his arrival. According to him, he was really touched to see the State Coordinator, Camp Director, hostel inspectors and staff of the camp clinic at the hospital with his wife through it all. He concluded by saying NYSC is indeed a family to belong to and that he was happy his wife came at the time she did because the show of love was massive.
He appreciated the State Coordinator further for the cash gifts and other items presented to his wife and baby and promised to include a Yoruba name in the baby's name as a reminder of the love and hospitality shown to his family by the people of the State.
