CHARITY CDS VISITS ORPHANAGE, DONATES TOKEN


Members of the Charity Community Development Service Group, Ife East Local Government Area have lived up to their mandate as they paid a visit to Covenant Orphanage, Opa, Ile-Ife on Thursday. 

The group president, corps member Jabin Favour with state code OS/21B/3308, while donating the token emphasized the need for all in the society to extend a hand of support to the less-privileged in the society.

According to him, "it behoves us as humans to lend all the support we can to those in need of it, particularly the orphans and the motherless who haven't had the privilege of a complete upbringing by their parents". 

In return, the owner of the orphanage, Mrs Oroyemi Elizabeth appreciated the group for their wonderful and selfless effort in putting a smile on the children's faces, stating that the item and cash donation would go a long way in easing the efficient running of the orphanage home. 

"Your presence and donation are highly appreciated by us and we pray the Almighty never ceases to do wonders in your lives," she said.

Other items donated include; cartons of noodles, beverages, clothes, toiletries and detergents.

NYSC : Agbor Felicitates with Batch B Stream 2 as 2184 Corps Members Disengage from Service in Osun State

The National Youth Service Corps Osun State Coordinator, Mr Agbor Ndoma Obim has congratulated the 2022 Batch B Stream 2 Corps Members for successfully completing the one year mandatory service to the nation.  He appreciated the Corps Members for being undaunted, humble and unwavering since the beginning of the service year till the joyful moment.  Agbor, who monitored the low key exercise along with the management team, disclosed that a total of 2184 were successfully disengaged and that 19 Corps Members were sanctioned by the Board due to the lackadaisical attitude portrayed during their service year which attracted an extension of service, while 14 members who absconded were billed to repeat the service as prescribed in the Act and Bye-laws of the Scheme.
