YOUR PVC IS YOUR VOICE; LEARN TO USE IT RIGHT!
In lieu of the upcoming gubernatorial election happening in a few months in Osun State, corps members attached to the office of The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Olorunda local government on Thursday sensitized marketers in Igbona market on the importance of their Permanent Voters' Cards (PVCs).
The corps members educated the market sellers who are new and retrained registrants on transfer of Polling Unit (PU), Registration Area (RA), Local Government (LG) and all that electoral processes require.
"The Permanent Voters' Cards (PVCs) collected between 2011 and 2018 are still valid. Those who are yet to get their PVCs after collecting the Temporary Voter Cards (TVCs) should go back to check for them in your local government areas," said the interalia.
They urged all marketers and passer byes present to kindly comply with all the rules binding the electoral processes and to ensure they adhere to what they have been taught.
The Assistant Electoral Officer, Admin Department, INEC Office at Olorunda local government, Mrs Oloyede Adesola who was in attendance also implored the electorate to do well to abide by the new rules and regulations guiding electoral practices.
“Please do what you ought to do only during this election, never betray your integrity, it really isn’t worth it.
"When people know better, they will do better. And we are glad that these corps members have decided to be the ones to pass on this knowledge" she said.
