*BE CONSISTENT WITH THE GOOD CONDUCT YOU HAVE EXHIBITED SO FAR- ABIODUN*

The NYSC Director of Internal Audit, Mr Leke Abiodun has commended the 2022 Batch A Stream 1 Corps Members deployed to Osun State and those dislodged from Lagos State for the reports on proper conduct and behaviour which he had heard about them.

He gave the commendation during his visit to the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede, on Wednesday.
In his address, Mr Leke Abiodun urged Corps Members to ensure that they serve as 'change agents' in whatever community they are posted to. In his words, “This one year is not a time for you to gallivant, it is a year for you to make impact and stand out”.
Furthermore, he instructed the Corps Members to respect the culture and traditions of the people of their host community and adhere to the do's and don'ts of the communities they will be posted to after the three weeks Orientation Programme.

In addition, Abiodun urged them to be security conscious and implored Corps Members to avoid travelling out of the State of their deployment without due authorisation.
He further encouraged the Corps Members to take advantage of technology and make friends with people around them. He urged them to leverage on the platforms made available by the Scheme to build quality friendships with other Corps Members irrespective of their ethnic and religious backgrounds.
Speaking on the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development Program, Mr. Abiodun stated that the Program is one of the best things that has ever happened to the Scheme. According to him, through the Program, the Scheme has succeeded in training Corps Members in various skills thereby reducing the number of graduate youths in the labour market.

Abiodun said the SAED Program of the Scheme is not only concerned about training Corps Members in various skills but also empowering them to become employers of labour which will bring about a reduction in the unemployment rate in the country.

Speaking on empowerment, Abiodun enlightened the Corps Members on the NYSC Trust Fund, an initiative of the Scheme geared towards making start up funds available for Corps Members for their various business ideas and to also empower them to be able to provide the needed solutions to the felt needs in their host communities and the nation at large.

In conclusion, he admonished Corps Members to ensure that they make their locations known and equally know the people around them. They must avoid late night outings.

Meanwhile, the NYSC Osun State Coordinator, Mrs Winifred Shokpeka showered praises on the current Batch undergoing the three weeks Orientation Course at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede.
