*PLATOON 1 EMERGES WINNER OF INTER-PLATOON DRILLS COMPETITION*

The Inter-platoon Drills Competition for the 2022 Batch A Stream I Orientation Course has finally taken place after several days of intense rehearsals. 

The event took place on Thursday at the Parade ground of the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede.
The Camp Commandant, Captain E. N. Uzuzu expressed his delight in the commitment and hard work the Corps Members have shown during the rehearsals for the Drills competition. In his welcome address, the Camp Commandant stressed on the importance of Drills in building the physical and mental health of Corps Members and also ensuing team spirit, comradeship, and togetherness amongst them. 
He commended the NYSC Management for including the Drills in the major activities on Camp stating that it has gone a long way in instilling discipline, endurance, tenacity and a strong sense of responsibility in the members who participate actively in it. 

The Chief Judge, Captain P. M. Egbe while intimating the audience on the criteria for judgement, admonished all the platoons to stay steadfast and put in their best and remember that in every competition there must be a winner and others.

According to him, the competition will be scored taking cognizance of the turn out of the members, march past in slow and quick terms, word of command, eyes right and eyes front, dressing into line, review order, among other criteria. 

The competition saw platoon one emerge winner with 169 points, with platoon 7 in second place having 155.5 points and Platoon 3 in third place having 152.5 points.
