OSUN QUALIFIES FOR DANCE AND DRAMA FINALS, CLINCH SECOND PLACE IN FOOTBALL

The NYSC Osun State Dance and Drama group have qualified for the finals of the NYSC Annual Sports and Cultural Festival having clinched the 1st position in Dance in the South West Zonal Preliminary. 

The South West Zonal Preliminaries took place at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp,Sagamu Ogun State with about 300 Contingents from Lagos, Kwara, Ekiti, Ondo , Osun and Oyo States. The festival featured contests in Football, Volleyball, Dance, Drama, Comedy as well as track events in 100m, 200m and 4*100m. 
NYSC Osun State thrilled the judges and audience with their electrifying cultural dance moves which eventually earned them first position at the end of the competition while the Ọmọlúabí football team floored other States on the football pitch and professionally competed with their Ekiti counterpart displaying a high level of skillfulness, dexterity, agility and maturity on the pitch. 
The Ọmọlúabí team clinched the second position in the football competition which ended 2-1 in favour of Ekiti State. The audience commended the Ọmọlúabí team for truly displaying the spirit of sportsmanship on the pitch stating that it was indeed a keenly contested match.

The State Coordinator, Mrs Olayinka Abdulwahab congratulated the team for displaying unmatchable virtues during the zonal preliminary and commended them for making the State proud by winning the Zonal Dance competition and for also reaching the finals in the Zonal football competition which saw them come second. 

She appreciated the Contingents and their Schedule Officers for their efforts and performance in the various categories of the competition.
