FAGBEMI ENLIGHTENS PCMs ON SERVICOM
The NYSC Osun State SERVICOM Desk Officer, Mr Olugbenga Fagbemi has urged Prospective Corps members to report any form of unfair treatment to the SERVICOM Desk in the State.
He said this while sensitising the members on Servicom. Fagbemi told PCMs to report any unfair service delivery within the camp for them to be charged to the authorities immediately through: SERVICOM office at the camp, SERVICOM mobile numbers and suggestion boxes placed at strategic locations within the camp.
While giving a lecture to PCMs, on Saturday at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede, Mr. Fagbemi gave the definition of SERVICOM. According to him, SERVICOM is an acronym derived from two words, "Service" and "Compact". He went further in explaining the concepts differently. Services according to him is anything rendered for public benefits while Compact is the agreement between two parties.
SERVICOM in summary means duties rendered to prevent service failure,
as such the duties of SERVICOM in the camp is to ensure efficiency of services all through out the three weeks Orientation Program.
He tasked the PCMs with the responsibility of propagating the message to others at the right time to prevent service failure in various units and agencies in where they work.
PCMs were charged to play their part, in ensuring effective service delivery in their PPA, through: punctuality at work, cleanliness, virtuous living, open mindedness, right dressing, diligence in assigned task as well as shunning bribery and corruption.
Mr. Fagbemi concluded by charging all PCMs to be good ambassadors of NYSC and their families and that social vices such as stealing, rape, drunkenness, cybercrime, among others should not be once named among them.
