DG VISITS OSUN STATE SECURITY CHIEFS, SEEKS MORE SECURITY FOR NYSC MEMBERS DURING ELECTION

The Director General of NYSC, Brig. Gen. MK Fadah has paid the Osun State Security Chiefs a visit to solicit for their support and cooperation on the security of Corps members during the Gubernatorial Election in the State.
Brig. Gen. Fadah who noted that the synergy of the security organizations not only in Osun state but all over the country has culminated in the success recorded by the Scheme in the Country. He urged them to synergize more so that they can achieve more in moving the nation forward.
He added that the Security Chiefs should not relent in their efforts to ensure maximum security of Corps members that make up the large number of INEC Adhoc officials in the period of elections.

At the office of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, the Commandant, Abubakar Ahmed Audi told the NYSC Boss that it is their responsibility to patner with the Scheme to ensure adequate security for Corps members whom he described as everybody's children and promised to provide adequate security for them during and after the election.

Equally, the Commander, Engineer Construction Command Nigeria Army Ede, Brig. Gen. Suleiman hyped the Scheme for its contributions to the socio-economic growth of the country and promised to do the needful at all times.

In the same vein, the Police DIG JB Kokumo equally agreed that it is their responsibility to guard and protect the Corps members and assured the DG that they Will ensure that Corps members get adequate security during the elections and always.

At the DSS Command, the Director, Mr Folorunso Bankole Alade promised to continue partnering with the NYSC Scheme. He assured the DG of the DSS readiness to provide manpower support when needed.

In order to deliver during the Election, Brig. Gen. Fadah also sensitized Corps members at Olorunda, Osogbo and Ifelodun RAC Centres and urged them to justify the memorandum the Scheme signed with INEC. He added that they should allow patriotic zeal to prevail by ensuring free and fair elections.

In the entourage of the DG were the Director Corps welfare and Health Services, Mallam Baba Ladan; the Director Special Duties, Alhaji Musa Abubakar; the Director, Press & Public Relations, Mr Eddy Megwa; the Ag. Director South West Area Office, Mr Kehinde Aremu; the State Coordinator, Mrs Olayinka Abdulwahab and other Management Staff of the Scheme in the State

NYSC : Agbor Felicitates with Batch B Stream 2 as 2184 Corps Members Disengage from Service in Osun State

The National Youth Service Corps Osun State Coordinator, Mr Agbor Ndoma Obim has congratulated the 2022 Batch B Stream 2 Corps Members for successfully completing the one year mandatory service to the nation.  He appreciated the Corps Members for being undaunted, humble and unwavering since the beginning of the service year till the joyful moment.  Agbor, who monitored the low key exercise along with the management team, disclosed that a total of 2184 were successfully disengaged and that 19 Corps Members were sanctioned by the Board due to the lackadaisical attitude portrayed during their service year which attracted an extension of service, while 14 members who absconded were billed to repeat the service as prescribed in the Act and Bye-laws of the Scheme.
