Repay Services Of The Founding Fathers - Brig. Gen Fadah Tells Corps Members
The Director General of the National Youth Service Corps Brigadier General Mohammed Kaku Fadah took to the stage at the Swearing-in and Official Opening Ceremony of the 2022 Batch C Stream 1 Prospective Corps Members (PCMs) in Osun State to highlight the purposes of the service admonishing to keep to the tenets of the programme.
The Swearing-in and Official Opening Ceremony of the Members took place on Tuesday at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede.
Gen. Fadah who was represented by the NYSC Osun State Coordinator, Mrs Olayinka Abdulwahab told Corps Members that at the pinnacle of values to be imbibed is national integration and unity. He enjoined them to shun hate speech while building bridges to foster national unity.
He admonished the Members to play well their role in nation building during the service year while developing skills by leveraging on the learning opportunities provided by the NYSC.
“The regimented course further equips you with the mental and physical skills needed to face the challenges of the service year", he said.
He urged them to take part in the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development Program (SAED) to hitch up their skills to create a niche for themselves and excel in their chosen career path.
Also gracing the event was the Honourable Chief Judge of Osun State, Justice Oyebola Adepele Ojo represented by Hon. Justice Olorunfemi Judith Àjànàkú who swore in the PCMs and witnessed the signing of the Service Pledge by the platoon representatives signifying full enrollment into the Corps.
A total of 2,300 Corps Members were sworn in partitioned into 1,500 deployed to Osun State and 800 dislodged from Lagos for the Orientation Course.
