CAMP DIRECTOR CHARGES PCMS TO EMBRACE DISCIPLINE AS ORIENTATION COURSE BEGINS
The Camp Director, Alhaji Abdullahi Adamu has charged the 2022 Batch C Stream 2 Prospective Corps Members to embrace discipline even as the three weeks Orientation Course kick-started in earnest in Osun State on Wednesday.
Ádámù gave the charge while addressing the PCMs at the morning meditation at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede.
He highlighted some of the Camp's Do's and Don'ts emphasising on the importance of discipline and a positive disposition toward the regimented course in the achievement of the Orientation objectives.
He told the Members that Officials stand in locoparentis to them and they should therefore see and treat them as their guardian, uncles and aunties. He enjoined them to respect all Camp Officials and ensure strict adherence to Camp rules and regulations.
Speaking on the meditation, Adamu said that all meditations are to be meditated upon as they had been carefully compiled by the Scheme to help inspire and motivate them toward patriotic and virtuous living.
Highlights of the meditation include sensitisation on Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development programme by Mr Adeniyi Aleshinloye, the teaching of the various anthems by the ACPRO, Mrs Catherine Otemuyiwa and birthday felicitations.
The meditation was followed by a worthy dose of aerobics led by the Man 'O' War, with other Camp Officials participating in the exercise to keep fit and healthy.
The Orientation Course which started on Wednesday saw Camp Officials warmly receiving the Prospective Corps Members and guiding them through the processes of registration which begins with the friendly but purposeful stop and search at the gate followed by the COVID-19 Rapid Diagnostic test which is mandatory for both Prospective Corps Members and all Camp Officials and Marketers with strict penalty for defaulters.
