CELEBRATING AGBOR NDOMA OBIM's 365 DAYS IN OFFICE

 In the very soil of Osun State, where the sun kisses the earth, the name Agbor Ndoma Obim echoes as a beacon of dedication, selflessness and development. Do you speak of a Visionary leader, an administrator per excellence, a patriotic Nigerian, a detribalized Nigerian, The State Coordinator National Youth Service Corps Osun State blazes the trail with so much exception. 

 Mr Agbor Ndoma Obim, a proud son of Cross River State, is a graduate of Political Science from the Cross River State University now University of Uyo. Agbor's zest for knowledge also led him to bag a Masters degree in Public Administration from the University of Calabar. 

Agbor who is happily married with children, kicked off his NYSC career as an Administrative officer in 1998.

 Agbor's commitment to excellence and service delivery was rudimental to his rapid progress up the administrative cadre from Head of Administrative department NYSC feed-mill Ipaja Lagos State to serving at the NYSC Borno State Secretariat, and later being posted back to NYSC Lagos State Secretariat in 2010 where he worked in different Units and Branches until 2020 when he was promoted to the rank of Deputy Director. 

 As a detribalized Nigerian, Mr Agbor has worked in the different regions of NYSC Scheme working as an administrative officer, LGI of different local government areas, a Deputy Director and Head of Human Resource/Training Division...

Mr Agbor In August, 2020, was posted to the NYSC South-East Area office, Enugu as Deputy Director and Head of Human Resource/Training Division, where he worked until December, 2022, when he was appointed as State Coordinator NYSC Kaduna State Secretariat and on 13th April, 2023 he was posted to Osun State Secretariat as the 15th State Coordinator. 

Agbor's career has been written in chapters of excellence. 

The last one year of Mr Agbors service in Osun State have been landmarked with nothing but a trail of impactful achievements that has left a lasting legacy.  

His one year in office has been a constellation of transformation and enhancement of the NYSC experience both for Corps Members, Staff, collaborative agencies and relevant stake holders.

 Some Achievements of the NYSC boss in the last one year of service in Osun State as State Coordinator includes:

1.Procurement of essential gadgets and equipment worth over 2M Naira for the Orientation Broadcasting Service (OBS) and office. He also, recently procured a digital camera worth about 650,000 for the PR unit.

2 Ensuring offices are well-equipped with computers, laptops, printers and a photocopying machine for seamless operations. He also procured a brand new projector for use during Orientation programmes.

3.He facilitated the procurement of office furniture to enhance the working environment for staff across various branches and units.

The adminstrative and leadership excellence of Mr Agbor has in the last one year also fostered a stronger synergy among staffs of the NYSC Scheme in Osun State.

4.Mr Obim has in the last one year strenghtened the collaboration with monarchs, stakeholders and relevant government agencies who have given in their supports in the completion of a new hostel in the camp, providing a conducive living space for Corps Members. 

5 Agbor, a welfarist, has always ensured the comfort of Corps Members deployed to Osun State and those dislodged from Lagos State. This is reflected in the provision of adequate plastic chairs for use by corps members during lectures, procurement of a brand new generating set for camp use, not compromising on the quality and quantity of meals during orientation and also ensuring adequate water supply for use by course participants during orientation.

6.the NYSC boss also led the NYSC team on a courtesy visit to the much revered Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi.

7. The Gracious Hosting of the NYSC Director General, Brig. Gen. YD Ahmed during the 2024 batch A Stream I Orientation Course comes nothing short of a great achievement for the State Coordinator.

Without mincing words we can say that Agbor's Tenure has given both the camp environment and NYSC Osun State a significant face lift making it one of the best within the country.

Mr Agbor Ndoma Obim falls nothing short of a legacy of light and hope and doubtless a chorus of dedication and selflessness. a non-negligible legacy that'll stand the test of time.
